Ewins, Rod. 1982. FIJIAN ARTEFACTS: The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery Collection. Hobart, TMAG. This is one of only three books produced to date that are devoted entirely to Fijian material culture. It combines a taxonomic description of many artefacts (all illustrated) with a sociological contextualisation. In the twenty years since its publication it has been used by curators to catalogue museum collections from Otago to St Petersburg. You may read a review by Marie Adams of the Peabody Museum, Cambridge MA, published in the journal Pacific Studies in 1983, the year following publication.
